Hello Hotels Bucharest

The hotel itself is decent, with clean rooms, good service, and easy, quick transport links. The rooms are nice but pretty small. I found the area around the hotel really strange and shady, and people seemed odd when you were walking outside, especially women. I’d only suggest staying here if you’re with someone or getting around by taxi. :-)

The room was warm and comfortable, with everything I needed. After a long day, the hot water and pressure were flawless, and that mattered with temperatures at 1 degrees C. My flight was delayed by 3 hours, so I arrived late at night, but a friendly man at reception greeted me. When my charger broke, he found one for me to use overnight, which was very kind. The buffet breakfast was pretty standard, but worth the price. I’d recommend this hotel if you want somewhere comfortable near the train station.

The rooms on the higher floors get unbearably hot and dry, even with the heating switched off. Our friends in other rooms had the same problem. Opening the window for ages in the freezing weather didn’t fix it for long; within an hour of closing it, the room was like a dry sauna at a constant +30 degrees, making it really hard to sleep or wake up rested. The hotel is very clean, well placed, reasonably priced, and the staff are polite and friendly, but the heating setup is a serious problem.

Good option, with breakfast, a lift, a nice cafe with cool cakes, and reception staff who are helpful. The room is compact but has everything you need. The toilet is another matter, you can hear everything.
