Marshal Garden Hotel

The breakfast was good, the rooms were very clean, and the reception staff were pleasant. Free parking underneath the hotel was a big plus. I did hear some noise from an event after being told one might be taking place, but it didn’t bother me on the third floor. I really can’t think of anything bad to say.

Being woken at 5 a.m. by someone trying to enter our room was deeply unsettling. Thankfully, the lock was on. We called the front office three times before anyone picked up; they said someone from housekeeping had come in by mistake and apologized for the inconvenience. At checkout, nobody on staff mentioned what had happened, which showed a lack of professionalism. The rooms were cold and heated by air conditioning, even though they had thermostats. With this kind of behavior, I don’t consider it a four-star hotel. A very disturbing stay.

The room was very cold, and after calling several times for an iron, the receptionist told me the hotel didn’t have one. I’d asked two hours ahead, but nobody bothered to call and let me know. Not having an iron at the hotel seemed strange, and the lack of interest was frustrating.

There was 17C in the room when I arrived, and the only heating comes from the external AC, so the rooms are cold. Breakfast is about what you’d expect from an average three-star hotel. You need to scan your card in the elevator to reach your floor, though anyone can use the stairs, which makes for a fantastic security system. Here’s a picture of the view from a five-star hotel. All in all, it’s a very good three-star hotel!
