The staff were professional and really kind, which added to a very positive stay. Breakfast was well prepared and very good. My room was modern, in perfect condition, and spacious enough, with a roomy shower. I especially liked the useful touches: a smart TV with Chromecast, a work desk, and an iron and ironing board. Very satisfied.

The restaurant is probably the main draw here. Its contemporary food takes inspiration from traditional and regional dishes, with French and Balkan touches. The lamb stew with plums was unforgettable, and so was the turkey terrine. Breakfast was lovely too. The hotel is closer to Unirii Square and, as a result, the Old Town than any of the Mercure hotels with Unirii Square in their names. The rooms are bigger than comparable rooms at other Mercure hotels in Bucharest, and they feel more modern and cozy. Mine was on the first floor, with a large balcony, though the view from it was quite boring. The staff were super kind and friendly.
