Mercure Bucharest City Center

We had a great stay as a family, and I’d happily come back. The room was spacious and quiet, and breakfast had a plentiful, varied continental selection. There’s a water cooler in the hallway on every floor, which was handy since we drink a lot of water. The location worked really well, within walking distance of lots of attractions and restaurants, with good public transport links too. There’s even a playground tucked between the buildings. The staff were lovely, and Alexandru kindly upgraded our room to prestige for free. It came with minibar drinks, which we didn’t use, but it was still a nice gesture.

The hotel is very central, within walking distance of the Old Town, government buildings, parliament, and other historic sights. We had a brilliant view over Bucharest’s city center, and the rooms were pristine and very clean. Service was wonderful, with helpful, kind staff and an excellent breakfast with lots of choice. I’d recommend staying here to anyone wanting to experience Romania’s capital, and I’d definitely come back.

What stood out most during our stay at Mercure Bucharest City Center was the staff. Reception were welcoming and friendly from the start, and Alexandra deserves a special mention. She was warm, helpful, and went out of her way to make things easier for us. Those small acts of kindness really matter. The hotel is modern and comfortable, and the location makes it easy to get around. I’d gladly stay again and definitely recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and breakfast offered a nice range of choices. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was good. The modern room had comfortable mattresses and a great, modern shower. A very good location too, so we had a great stay.
