Relax Comfort Suites

The location was pretty good, walkable though not right in the center, and the staff were nice. Still, I didn't find the stay worth it because the room wasn't particularly clean. There was a cigarette lining in the middle of the room, and after walking on the floor in our socks, they got dirty. Noise was a big issue. The soundproofing was poor, we faced a central road, and it was loud all day. Curtains didn't block the sun completely, and bright signage outside the windows kept light coming in at night. The bath needs redoing, things were crumbling, and the hair dryer didn't work. All the furniture was ancient, and we could hear people in the other rooms.

The location is the only real advantage here. We stayed five days, and although we reported the problems, they still hadn't been fixed. The day after we spoke up, we slept late so staff couldn't get into the room, but they had access every day after that. The rooms look beautiful online, but ours was tired, dated, and not very clean. The shower curtain had holes, the wall mounted hairdryer was outdated, and the bathroom door handle was broken. The main room needed fresh paint and a deep clean. Under the beds we found a lypsyl, a lipstick, and a lot of dust. When we returned after reporting this, our room door was wide open. We checked our things, then reception said staff had accidentally left it open while checking. Their arrogant, sarcastic response to our concerns was an eye opener. We wouldn't stay here again. Even getting to the room felt unsettling. We took the lift after collecting the key, and it isn't for the faint hearted.

Good value for money and a great location. Problems get sorted quickly. Just be aware that the advert on the outside of the building lets some light into the room, so bring a sleep mask if you need it dark.

The bathtub was really cool. The room was generally clean, though the furniture was very old.
