The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and very clean, with good towels and sheets, tasteful decor, and most appliances in decent working order. The staff are polite and nice, though they seemed somewhat clueless. I still won't be returning. Summer heat was a serious problem. You need air conditioning to sleep, but the portable unit in my first room was extremely noisy. The mattress was in terrible condition, with springs actually sticking out, and there was no phone in the room to call and complain. That first night was a nightmare, pun intended. I asked to move in the morning and got a much better room: cooler, with a balcony and a phone, and quieter air conditioning, though it barely cooled the room. The mattress was just as bad. The hotel looks clean and pleasant at first, but these problems can easily ruin a night's sleep. Ask to see more than one room when you arrive, and check the appliances carefully before settling in.

The host was helpful and spoke English well. From the hotel, Mystic Beach is about a 20-minute walk. It’s an older-style place, close to City Park Mall and AutoGara Tomis111, where the minibus to Tulcea leaves.

They made me feel welcome. If you want friendly local service, simple but comfortable rooms, and a price that feels easy on the wallet, this place fits.

The staff were kind and friendly, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. A nice place to stay.
