Hotel King

The staff were arrogant, and the food was frozen, blended, then left out on the table. No one actually ate it. Their kletieten were the only thing that seemed edible. The room service never came, and the building shuts as a HOTEL, so you can't come and go at all hours. As a hostel that might have been fine, but not as a hotel. I read reviews mentioning a wellness room, but it wasn't there. The pool was always in need of repairs, and staff got annoyed when asked about it. The place felt old all over. The carpet was dry and moldy, the rooms were tiny, and the TV had adult content while nothing else on it worked. I'll add more with pictures.

For the price, it was decent value. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and had no smell; staff were helpful and very nice, and breakfast was pretty good. The hotel felt dark and dingy, though, and there was a strong hallway smell that I think came from the pool. I didn't think it was mold, despite what some people have said.

The front desk guy was kind, and breakfast was okay. But we chose this place for the spa and pool, and neither was available: the spa was closed and the pool stayed closed the whole time. Only a very small sauna was open, with restrictions. My room smelled bad, the shower was a joke, and the burned-out bulbs were never replaced.

The breakfast was the one real letdown. It was the worst I've had, the coffee was undrinkable, and even the cucumber on my plate was hard to eat. The rest worked out well: good location, clean rooms, and caring, friendly staff.
