We really like this clean place, the lovely views, and the very good food at the restaurant. Keep it up! On our last stay, though, a member of the cleaning staff came into our bedroom while she could see we were still there. She was replacing some items but hadn’t knocked first.

It’s an old hotel with very small rooms, though they do have air conditioning. The shower was fitted badly and left water all over the bathroom. The food was okay, like what you’d get at a low-cost place. And if your stay happens to overlap with a team-building event, don’t expect to sleep Saturday night.

Hotel Del Mar Venus, formerly Vulturul Hotel, is a three-star property in the center of the resort, by Lake Razelm and next to the Mera Resort complex. It’s 110 meters from the beach, with a bus stop beside the hotel and Mangalia Train Station 3 km away. Renovated completely in 2013, the modern complex now has 206 rooms across 13 floors. Each room has air conditioning, an individual balcony, a minibar, and a TV. Wireless internet is available in the common areas. Ground-floor rooms have facilities for people with disabilities. The restaurant has two halls with a combined capacity of 600 seats.

This was already our third stay, and we’ll definitely choose it again. The staff are great, the rooms are clean, and the food feels safe and tastes delicious. The sea is just a couple of steps away.
