Hostel Museum Propido

I'm not especially demanding, but this was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed. The rooms were tiny and hadn't been cleaned. Dust came off on my fingers whenever I touched the furniture. Urine smell was everywhere, and about ten dirty cats wandered around. It looked like no one had cleaned in days, maybe weeks. The walls were moldy, and my friend found a bug in the room. Anyone in our group with allergies started sneezing after spending a little time there. The host asked us for the money right at the start. Now we understand why. This place should be shut down by the sanitation authorities as a home for vermin and disease.

The Wi-Fi was the only good thing. We stayed just one night, and it was the worst hostel or hotel experience I've had. The whole place was filthy and stank. The sheets were old and smelly, the room was damp, and the locks barely worked. The bathroom was the worst part, wet, dirty, and slippery. We needed to rest before our morning flight, but I couldn't sleep at all. You could also hear everything from outside. Don't be fooled by the cozy pictures. I would never recommend this place.

We were given different rooms from the ones we'd reserved, and both nights there was loud music downstairs until 2 a.m. The rooms also smelled of cigarette smoke coming from the hallway. When it was time to leave, we waited an hour for the owner to move her car so we could get ours out. We couldn't reach her by phone.

The staff were very friendly when I was there, and the location is good. The rooms are noisy and could be much cleaner, but this is a cheap hostel. I've stayed in better places, but you get what you pay for. Fine for one night.
