Kopernikus Hotel Prag in Belgrade

They welcomed us very nicely at check-in, but on the day we left, nobody seemed to care. Before our checkout time, a member of the cleaning staff entered our room without knocking while my child was in the bathroom and I was getting dressed. We told them to leave, but they kept trying to clean. That’s really unacceptable. The management also seemed not to care. You may want to take this into account when choosing the hotel.

The room was clean and had enough space, even though it wasn't especially big. The hotel is very central, offers a good airport shuttle, and is very affordable.

The breakfast food was acceptable, but the instant coffee was so poor I could hardly call it coffee, and the orange juice was low-quality nectar rather than freshly squeezed. I can't understand the good reviews, because my stay was completely different. The value for money, breakfast included, was absolutely unacceptable. The hotel felt very run-down, stuck in the 1960s, and unlike its online description and photos. Walls and wallpaper were damaged, the bathroom had visible mold, and the window's mosquito net didn't work. The shower drained so badly that about 5 cm of water was left standing after a short time. The air conditioning didn't work either. The bathroom door wouldn't close and squeaked extremely loudly. I heard doors opening and closing through the night, and the neighboring rooms seemed to have the same issue.

The restaurant and minibar both had very reasonable prices. The hotel itself was very nice, with comfortable rooms and an excellent location.
