Time Hostel

Time hostel in Belgrade was a catastrophic experience for me. The room was disgustingly dirty when we arrived: it hadn’t been cleaned, the bathroom bin was full, the sheets were still from the previous guests, and there were no clean towels. When towels and sheets were eventually brought, they smelled bad. There was dust and human hair all over the bathroom, so we asked for it to be cleaned. The staff insisted we stay in the room while they did it, supposedly because they didn’t have a second key. They wanted to come clean at 22:00 one day and 23:00 the next, as though they were doing us a favor. When guests arrived late, they spoke loudly and didn’t care that others were sleeping. We asked them to keep it down, but instead of apologizing they blamed us for criticizing them. They said a hostel isn’t a hotel and the service isn’t the same, as if that meant guests should put up with dirty rooms and being mistreated. The staff, especially the owner, were arrogant and rude. I’ve never been treated this way in any hostel or hotel, whether 5, 3, or 1 star. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The staff were welcoming and helped us with all the information we needed about the city. My friends and I had a great few days at Time. It’s just a few meters from Belgrade’s main street, with nightclubs, important monuments, and the main railway station all nearby. I highly recommend Time Hostel.

I’d definitely come back to Time if I need a hostel again. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the place was clean, cozy, and nice, right in the center. I tried a dorm for the first time and really liked the chance to meet people from around the world. Thanks for everything!

The building is old and modest, with a feel that takes you back in time, but the place is clean, inexpensive, and calm. It’s right in the city center, so everything is close. The staff are always smiling and helpful, and can give you the information you need to explore Belgrade and relax at this lovely hostel.
