Elaf Qinwan Hotel

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. The main drawback is the shuttle to the Haram. It runs hourly, but the bus waits 30 minutes before leaving, and a round trip takes almost 1.5 hours. Older people and kids may also find the walk from the Haram to the bus stand tiring. For them, I’d spend a little extra to stay near the Haram. For a young couple or a group of friends, this place works well. If you stay here, I’d take the shuttle and spend two or three salaahs at the Haram. Taxis cost anywhere from SAR20 to SAR50 each way.

Our kids missed Elaf Qinwan Hotel after we left, which says a lot about how memorable the stay was for our family. We came away with lovely memories and had a really comfortable visit. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, and we were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary room upgrade. The shuttle was well organized and ran on time, so getting around felt easy and stress-free. The hotel’s interior was clean, tastefully designed, and welcoming. We were four people in room 716 and stayed for seven nights. Marouf, our Bangladeshi housekeeper, was friendly, attentive, and hardworking. The hotel is just one bus ride from the Kaaba. Thanks to the hotel, and greetings from Turkey 🇹🇷

The room was clean, nicely kept, and had good amenities. The bus timetable was the one problem. The shuttle before Maghrib left at 1630, a bit too early, while the 1840 departure was late for the 1910 prayer. By the time we got there, the mosque gates were often closed. Better timing around prayers would have made my stay better.
