Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel

The shopping mall beneath the tower is a big plus. It has everything from essentials to gifts, so you don’t need to bring much along. I also liked the practical room setup, including an electric unit for cooking or warming food, which is useful for families. The hotel was consistently clean, and the incense in the corridors and shared areas gave them a calm, luxurious feel. Staff were welcoming, respectful, and genuinely helpful. Service was excellent, and the food was very good with a varied selection and consistent quality. Fairmont (Clock Tower, Makkah) is exceptionally convenient for Umrah visitors, and my stay exceeded expectations. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience, cleanliness, and service.

Farah from the welcoming team made check-in smooth and helped me feel valued from the moment I arrived. She was kind, professional, and always welcoming, with a lovely smile and helpful attitude. Fairmont Makkah is beautiful, well organized, and perfectly located near the Haram. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it. I look forward to returning.

The location is the strongest point, and the bedding and comfort are amazing. But the service falls short of what this property should offer. Staff can seem to have an attitude, and everything comes with the excuse that they’re fully occupied. If that’s the case, why not increase the manpower? It took over 45 minutes to collect luggage from our room, even as gold and platinum Accor members. It makes me wonder whether Accor loyalty is worth it.

The hotel was comfortable and our stay was good, but the breakfast needs attention. They didn’t have enough capacity to serve guests properly, so breakfast was moved to a conference room that didn’t feel like a restaurant. The buffet had few choices and little variety. We booked directly with the hotel, not through a discount site or coupon, and expected our requests to be given proper attention. Special needs mentioned during reservation should be read carefully and considered, with the right assistance prioritized. Improving these things would make the stay better and show a higher standard of hospitality.
