OYO 532 Shoaa Al Shaab

The view of the haram is lovely, and Shoaa Al Shaab nearby has a small restaurant, a barber, and a taxi stand. The location is good, going straight from the 🏨 to the 🕋, but it isn't five minutes from the haram as some reviews say. I walk on a treadmill every day, and even a young person needs at least 15 minutes just to reach the safa marwa entrance/exit. There are several problems inside. The restrooms stink even when you haven't used them. The one downstairs by the welcome counter doesn't smell, because staff use it themselves. There's no tissue, drinking water, smoking sign, or fire 🧯. If your room faces the haram, bring earplugs, since horns and big trucks make noise day and night. The windows are broken and aren't soundproof, so the noise gets through. Room service isn't done every day, even simple things like changing trash bags. If you go downstairs to ask, they say five minutes, but it can turn into 50 minutes. Sometimes you have to bring the service guy up yourself, and then they ask for a tip. I give it 3 ⭐️ overall, with some things that need fixing.
