Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi Hotel

Cleanliness really matters to me, and this place stood out. Both the rooms and shared areas were spotless and well looked after. The rooms are large, everything feels modern and thoughtfully designed, and the stay was comfortable and pleasant. I’d definitely recommend it.

The location was fine, but the rooms and service were a real problem. Our four-person room had almost no space to walk or store luggage. The TV kept malfunctioning, and screen sharing switched off by itself after a few minutes. We had two rooms and the other had a more advanced TV, even though we paid the same price, but that one didn’t work properly either. The table light was confusing to operate, though that wasn’t the main issue. We asked for cleaning five times by phone, in person, and at reception, and nobody came until the fifth request, alhamdulillah. They also didn’t collect the lunch when we ordered it. I saw lots of plates left on the floor outside rooms, as if service wasn’t doing its job. Worst of all, the milk for the cornflakes was in a glass jug with a broken rim. The same broken jug was put out again at breakfast the next day for everyone. Someone could have swallowed glass fragments, which is especially dangerous for children. So unprofessional!

The hotel itself was clean and nice, but getting to Haram was a hassle. A small bus took us to another hotel, where we had to switch buses for the final ride. Coming back worked the same way, with a stop at that other hotel first. Each time we returned, we had to ask reception to call the minibus to take us back to our hotel. It took a lot of time, especially during Ramadan. Cancellation terms were inflexible too, and you still lose your money if you cancel. With all these inconveniences, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We had a good one-night stay at Park Inn Radisson. The rooms were spacious and cozy, and room service was quick and very good. There was plenty of parking. Getting in from the main road wasn’t easy, though, and the hotel should put up a sign. It was a nice stay, and I’d like to come back for our next umrah trip.
