Sadia I.
The only good things were that it was a 10-minute walk from Masjid-e-Quba and there was good-quality food and supermarkets across the road. The photos and description were misleading. The hygiene and the staff’s lack of care shocked us. Our first twin room had cockroaches, and although the bedsheets had been made up, we found hairs on sheets that seemed to have been used by previous guests. The bathroom was awful. They moved us to another room after we confronted them, but it had the same problems. There were cockroaches in the kitchen, the fridge was disgusting, and the rooms were so dirty they looked as if nobody had swept or mopped in ages. We had to pressure them just to change the bed linen for all five beds. We were afraid to leave our luggage open or put things in the cupboard in case cockroaches got in. There was a centre table with broken glass. We asked them to remove it so the kids wouldn’t get hurt, but they flatly refused. We didn’t ask them to replace it, only to put it away. Since it was Hajj season and every other hotel was full, we couldn’t go elsewhere. Don’t be tempted by the cheap rates and nice photos, especially if you’re travelling with family from far away. I wish I could give zero for rooms and service.
