Riyadh al zahra hotel

Getting to Al Masjid Al Nabwy is easy, and the location is the only good part. The hotel gets very busy, so expect long waits for the lifts. If you need to catch salah on time, you have to start waiting early. The rooms are tiny, too, so two people can’t stand and walk around at the same time. Service is lacking: you have to ask each time for tissues, towels, shampoo, and soap. The cleanliness was awful. The sheets and bathroom were dirty and stained, there was dirt all over the bathroom, and we found things left by previous guests under the beds and by the fridge. It seemed they only tidied the tops of the beds. The restaurant smelled bad and that odor reached reception; even the tables and floor were dirty when our trip supervisor held a gathering there.

The rooms are good and the hotel is in a good location, but service was poor. Male staff, particularly around reception, behaved very badly toward guests. They also wouldn’t clean the room or bathroom unless you went to reception to ask.

We needed five beds for five people, but got a very small room with a tiny bathroom. There was barely room to get out of bed or put our baggage down. The hotel costs far too much for what it offers. Nothing seemed clean, from the sheets, bathroom, and carpet to the dusty lobby. Everything smelled bad, and there was always a wait for the elevator. People showed no respect or manners, especially the Indonesian and Malaysian community. The list goes on. A horrible experience.

I’m here on a religious trip, and being just a few steps from Masjid Nabawi made the location perfect. The staff were well behaved, the hotel is beautiful and affordable, and we saved a lot on transportation.
