Oceanic View Lodges

We were four friends here for two nights. The host was lovely and fitted in with our wishes, and service was good. It’s one of the cheapest options in the area while still meeting good standards. The beach and a few restaurants are within walking distance. We did the Anse Majore trail and really enjoyed it. I’d suggest renting a car if you want to go on different excursions. Would recommend!

Our worst experience in Seychelles. On January 2, the host cancelled our reservation when we arrived, saying Booking had cancelled it over an invalid credit card. That wasn’t true: we’d booked in September and Booking had confirmed by email. She went into a room, and a minute later the cancellation message arrived. It seemed obvious to me she had cancelled it herself at that moment. The timing left us in a very difficult position, trying to find a room for one night. She was rude, wouldn’t even let me use the WC, and hurried us out. The property itself wasn’t nice and looked like a city block. Its location is awful too, reached by a steep road and far from everything in the area. Highly NOT recommended.

The staff made sure we were comfortable and happy every day, and from the moment we arrived we were met with such warmth that it felt like visiting close friends. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return. Our room was spotless, spacious and full of light, with stunning ocean views. The fresh flowers and local touches in the decor felt thoughtfully done. This beautiful, soulful hotel is a place to relax, reconnect with yourself and feel the island’s spirit. Highly recommend it for a warm, authentic Seychelles experience.

The sea is an eight-minute walk away, though the steep hillside makes it feel like a workout. From my room, the view was superb, with both sunrises and sunsets to watch. I stayed 16 nights and made the right choice. Everything felt kind, cozy, homey, fresh and fragrant, like visiting family. Thank you, Maria and Johnny, for welcoming me so warmly, for the delicious food, clean rooms and fresh linens. Those were happy, carefree days, and I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart. Would I come back? Absolutely!
