You can take a hike up the mountain behind the villa for an even higher viewpoint. But the view from the house is already one of the best in Seychelles, and mornings on the balcony with coffee or a glass of wine were amazing. The place itself is spacious, comfortable, and full of charm. I was so sad to leave.

The terrace, balconies, and garden are the real highlight, with a breathtaking view. The house has roomy bedrooms with air conditioning, fans, and mosquito nets around the beds. Bathrooms are spacious too, though only one has a bathtub. The kitchen is very well equipped, and staff came to clean each day and even helped with dishes. You can arrange a chef in advance for an extra fee. You do need a vehicle because the driveway is steep and climbs quite a way, which makes sense for where the property sits. I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. It was a dream.

The house is older, but has a lot of charm, and we thought it was excellent value. The owner was very pleasant to deal with, and we'd book it again without hesitation if we return to Praslin. The steep road was easy enough in the Mahindra Thar we rented after reading earlier reviews, even without using four-wheel drive. Best of all, the terrace has a unique, fantastic view and is lovely in any weather. There's usually a light breeze, so it feels less hot than down by the water.
