The staff were genuinely lovely, friendly and helpful, and seemed to be doing their best with a chaotic setup they probably didn’t create. Sadly, the rest of the stay was hard to enjoy. The place feels like several half-finished buildings joined together with whatever materials were left around, and the toilet seat in our room didn’t even match the toilet. It was also dirty enough that I wanted to keep my shoes on. Our window looked out onto a shopping mall, and the curtains stayed shut. Getting there was its own ordeal. The address in the Best Western booking confirmation, on the hotel website and on Google Maps all led to the wrong place. We drove around for 30 minutes, then had to call the hotel. It’s in a car-free zone, and the address points to a random parking garage. Even once we’d found the hotel, Google Maps still said we were five minutes away. The signs say JA Hotel, with barely any clear mention of Best Western. If you’re looking for the brand you booked, good luck spotting it. Would I recommend it? Only if you like scavenger hunts and a mall view.

I’m here for work every month. My colleagues go for the high star hotels, but I always choose JA. It’s right in the mall and close to everything. I love this hotel, and the breakfast is lovely. The room is clean and comfortable, and the staff are the best part. They treat me with care, like I’m at home. Thank you, and see you soon.

We had a very good stay here as a family of two adults and three children while traveling through Denmark and Sweden. The room was clean and really well prepared, the service was friendly, and breakfast was delicious. The price was very affordable too. It can be hard to find when driving through town, since who expects a hotel inside a mall?
10/10
A cozy, clean room and a comfortable bed made for a nice stay. The hotel is in the city center, inside the shopping mall, and breakfast had lots of good choices.
4/10
The salads were the only decent part of the buffet. I paid almost 200 SEK, but the beef patties were tough and dry, and there was hardly any variety.
