Aiden by Best Western Stockholm Kista

The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything felt clean and fresh. The price was good, though you get what you pay for. Noise was the biggest issue: we could hear the corridor and our neighbors, and doors rattled when other guests shut theirs. The bed was okay but oddly wobbly, and a few lights didn't work. Breakfast was disappointing, around 4/10. The small gym was nice, but being inside a glass box felt strange. Kista's surroundings also brought down the impression. It did the job for one night, but we wouldn't pick it first next time.

Food was only available from vending machines, and the place felt impersonal, so I wouldn't really recommend it. The room was tiny and pretty bare, and it wasn't warm inside. Check-in was another surprise: it all happened at a computer kiosk, with no staff involved. The airport shuttle from Arlanda takes about 10 minutes.

The dining setup was the worst part. Our room door opened straight onto the breakfast tables, so we woke around 7 to guests eating and talking. At night, other guests were drinking outside and being really loud, which meant we couldn't sleep. The room itself was small, and the double bed was too small for my wife and me to fit comfortably. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, with no basic manners. It felt greedy and cheap to put rooms right in the middle of the dining room just to make a profit. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm giving it one star only because zero isn't an option. I can't recommend this 'hotel' to anyone.

At 1498 SEK for one night with breakfast, I expected much better value. The room was extremely small and windowless, with a short, narrow bed, no nearby socket to charge my phone and nowhere to hang my coat. The bathroom was nicely designed, though there wasn't a floor towel. When I arrived, the area outside the entrance was under construction. Check-in was at an electronic kiosk instead of a normal desk, but a very friendly staff member helped me through it. I needed a one-night stay in the area and chose Aiden by Best Western Stockholm Kista, but the price made the shortcomings hard to overlook.
