The kitchen has limited hours, so check that it’s open before you go. They serve home-made classic Swedish food in a calm, friendly setting, and there’s basic accommodation for larger groups too. While you’re there, take a walk through the unique village of Olsnäs, beautifully set beside Lake Siljan.

We used the camping house for one night while travelling to Grövelsjön, and it was just right for that stop.

The cabins are clean and practical, and the setting is beautiful and peaceful. We’re planning to return.
