I don’t understand all the negative reviews. It’s a hostel, and for a hostel it’s a great one. The staff were just great, helpful and genuinely nice, and I loved my stay. My dorm bed was really comfortable, with curtains you can close for privacy. The bathrooms and showers were mostly very clean, and there are two kitchens with all the appliances.

Two stars for the friendly woman at reception, the supermarket around the corner, and a decent sized room with a TV. The bathroom had toilet paper, shampoo, soap and a small hand towel. But the room itself wasn’t very clean, especially the toilet, and the seat was loose. You have to hold the shower head the whole time because there’s nowhere to hang it. At 65Euros a night, sheets and towels weren’t included and had to be bought separately. Towels, fine, but I expect bedding to come with accommodation. I’ve stayed in a hundred hostels around the world and never had that happen before. The mattresses were also very cheap and didn’t even match the bed frame size. Don’t go to Malmö. Just skip it.

The kitchen worked fine, it was near a supermarket, and the staff were friendly and let me use the washing machine. Those were the only upsides for me. I’d hoped to meet people for the festival, but the place had a bad vibe and didn’t feel like a fun travel hostel. It was dark and musty, hot, and the bathrooms smelled horrible. Everyone I spoke to was staying there because they couldn’t find apartments. My dorm was all older men, and I didn’t feel particularly safe. I guess I should have booked an all-female dorm. The rooms were dusty, with peeling paint, and I felt lucky not to get bedbugs. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a real youth hostel vibe. Go to Copenhagen instead.

The apartment smelled amazing and the floor wasn’t sticky at all. It was cheap, and there were no people puking in the innegård at night, which is always nice. The shower was totally normal. The temperature felt like a pleasant summer night in Baghdad. 💲💲💲💲
