Vander Aparthotel Inre Hamnen

The apartment was nicely decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen, spotless sheets and duvets, and a washer-dryer in the bathroom that was very handy for a longer stay. It's in a construction area, with a lovely river view, about a 20-minute walk from the centre. There were signs of humidity on the ceilings, and the room was cool, around 19 degrees. The bathroom really needs a heater to dry the towels. The double bed was hard and quite narrow for two. Some improvements are needed before I'd consider it a very good accommodation choice.

We had a family-friendly, clean place with lots of room and a full kitchen. The layout was a little strange, with a mystery space between the room and bathroom, and the only thing missing was a microwave. I'd heard people say the beds were hard, but nobody in my family mentioned that. I slept on the sofa bed, which felt like sleeping on a sofa bed. Even with construction, the room was easy enough to find. Parking was a pain: either pay for an expensive parking building or look for street parking and possibly walk a long way. There was also plenty of interesting architecture to explore.

The beds were incredibly hard, and after two nights I had barely slept and my back ached. I was exhausted. The apartment itself was new and stylish, but didn't seem fully finished. Some walls looked unpainted, and the bathroom wall looked a bit grimy, perhaps from mold or lack thereof. There was only half a roll of toilet paper, which was very inconvenient for our family with two kids.

The apartments themselves are new and in good shape, which makes the poor service even more disappointing. We stayed six days, and the shampoo bottle was only about a third full. It seemed watered down, too. We asked for this to be dealt with, but nothing was done. Finding the place took longer than expected because it’s inside a construction area. There are also work sites nearby, so weekdays can be noisy. Maybe it’ll be worth considering in six months. For now, with all of that, I’d rate it 4/10, despite the apartments being in very good condition.
