The breakfast was the standout for me, easily the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. No sad waffles, frozen sausages, or plain bagels. It was my first few nights overseas, and the room worked well for two. The shower felt a little different to me as an American, but I was pretty impressed with the place.

The room was small but clean and had what I needed, and the bed was good. The bathroom has been updated and was clean, which was a big plus. The shower is small, though even if you’re over 2 meters tall you can fit. The heating seemed to do its own thing, swinging from cold to warm. Breakfast was standard, with fresh bread and a few local choices. I’d put the hotel somewhere between three and four stars. 👍

Getting out early was easy thanks to the practical box for dropping off the keys. The location is very good too. The hotel itself is simple and clean, though it feels a bit old-fashioned, and the elevator is one example. Still, I had a good stay. Cheap, but OK.

For 89 SEK, you get a really tasty, fresh soup lunch, with two soups to choose from each weekday. They also serve home-baked bread, special butter, and cheese, plus pancakes on Thursdays. One of my favorite places to have lunch in Örebro. The downside is that the opening hours are very limited. I can’t comment on the hotel side of the business.

For 2000kr on a Monday, with two adults, two children, and a dog, I expected more. We paid extra for the dog even though the basic room already felt overpriced. The place had a hostel feel, and there was noise until 3 am. Cleaning wasn’t satisfactory either: the bathroom smelled of urine and had hair, a razor cover, and an old bar of soap in it. The receptionist seemed uninterested, as if she wanted to be elsewhere, and ignored my 5-year-old son when he tried to talk to her. Reception is only staffed in the afternoons, and breakfast is at a different Hotel. We’ll stay at Elite Hotel next time.
