The hotel looks lovely and was clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. But the room quality felt cheap for what we paid, so I don't think it was worth the price. My room, 403, was like a glass box. I stayed in October, when it was cold outside, yet the sun heated the room so much each morning that it was boiling, with no ventilation. The central air didn't work and there was no air conditioning, so I'd avoid staying here in summer. It could be unbearable. The bed was soft, and the curtains let in light. The shower was poor too, with a small head and hardly any water pressure. There were no proper toiletries, just soap fixed to the wall, and no wardrobe.

Breakfast had a generous spread, and the nights were quiet enough that leaving the windows open was no problem. The place is built in a distinctive way among old walls and bedrock, and felt like good value.

We found the room small but cosy, clean, and warm, which mattered in February, and the neighborhood was very quiet. The reception team were especially friendly and gave us lots of useful tips about the metro and places to eat. The location worked really well for our four-night city break. Mariatorget station is right across the road, with nice bars and restaurants nearby, and the best sunset viewpoint over Stockholm was less than a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast was lovely, there was free tea and coffee at reception, and a cosy bar downstairs for an easy drink. I'd definitely recommend staying here on a Stockholm visit.
