Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel

The cheese buffet at breakfast was especially amazing, and the staff were kind and professional. The rooms were all right and came with extra kits and extras. The curtains are a must if you want privacy from the building next door. I stayed for two nights and had a great experience. The location is excellent, an easy short walk from the central station. I’d recommend it and hope to visit again.

Breakfast is what I’ll remember most: loads to choose from, including fresh fish, breads, juices, cereal and Swedish pancakes. One of the best Radisson breakfasts I’ve had in Europe, honestly. The staff were friendly, and there’s a pleasant welcome corner in the lobby. I didn’t try the restaurant, but I’d stay here again if I come back to Stockholm. The location is really handy, right by the train station and easy to get around on foot. There’s a grocery store just below the building, too. My room was clean and comfortable. I’m a VIP member, but didn’t feel recognized and wasn’t upgraded. There was only instant coffee in the room, no coffee machine, which would’ve been a nice touch.

Works for a night when being close to the train matters more than atmosphere or comfort. It’s a corporate-style hotel wedged between the station and a freeway. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. In a standard room there’s a kettle and instant coffee, but no bathrobe, coffeemaker or other extras.

The airline cancelled my ticket after serious, unexpected events in my country and the region caused a complete airspace closure, so travel became impossible. It was entirely outside my control. I contacted the hotel politely, explained what had happened, and hoped for some understanding. They were cold and dismissive: no refund, no change of dates, and no support. Other airlines and hotels I’d booked were much more cooperative. Some refunded me in full, while others offered flexible rebooking for up to a year. This hotel did not. If something unexpected comes up, I wouldn’t count on help or flexibility here. I’d think twice before booking. The way they handled this says a lot about their customer care.
