ProfilHotels Riddargatan

Breakfast was a highlight, fresh and full of options, including a great range of vegan and gluten-free choices. My room at ProfilHotels Riddargatan was clean and cosy, with free WiFi and a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were easy. The location in central Stockholm, right in Östermalm, made cafes and shops an easy walk away. Great value, and I’d definitely stay again.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were nice, but when I asked to switch rooms at night they couldn’t help. We were awake until 4 am. Earplugs didn’t do much, and the windows let in pretty much all the sound. The location is fantastic for the city center, but the clubs, bars, traffic, and drunk people made Saturday night impossible to sleep through. The rooms also need attention: the first had a cracked sink, and the second had a cracked toilet. There was no pillow choice either, and my neck hurt. And the WiFi was only 1 megabit in 2025. Even YouTube wouldn’t load.

The breakfast was a highlight, with Swedish pancakes one morning, plus gluten-free bread and cookies. They make their own blueberry jam and granola, and there was a vegan corner every day with tofu scramble, veggie sausages, and even vegan Kalles spread. We’d stay again. The beds are very soft, which might not suit everyone. It’s dog friendly too, with a separate room near the main breakfast area where dogs can join you. There’s a small fridge in the room.

The breakfast had a wonderful range of flavors, and there were tables for couples, groups of four, and larger parties. The automatic doors at arrival and departure were a nice touch, and both check-in and check-out were quick. The room was spacious, clean, dust-free, and had enough amenities. Lighting was dimmable, which I liked. The location is excellent and very central, and the internet worked well. There’s a mini-fridge under the desk, with free water, tea, and coffee in the room. Snacks and drinks on the desk cost extra. A couple of things needed repair: the shower tile grout was worn, and the wardrobe door was missing, with its fittings left visible. Also, why aren’t olives more common at breakfast in Scandinavia?
