Scandic Grand Central

The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of choices, and after a day out sightseeing, the hotel's stylish, welcoming design made it easy to relax. I had a fantastic stay at Scandic Grand Central Hotel in Stockholm. Its location right beside the central station was perfect for getting around the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the modern rooms were clean and comfortable with great amenities. They weren’t especially spacious, just enough room for the two of us. I’d highly recommend it for business or leisure.

Our room was very large and finished to a high standard, and the staff were friendly. The location was perfect for our weekend break, within walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to see and close to transport links. The one letdown was the shower. It’s a wet-room design, but gaps between the screen and floor let water flood the whole bathroom every time we used it. Lovely hotel otherwise.

The warm, welcoming atmosphere made this a lovely place to relax. Our room was comfortable, and it was extremely convenient to reach from the train station. Rasmus deserves a special mention for making the stay even better. He was friendly, kind and helpful, checked that everything was alright, shared great recommendations nearby and helped us find our way to the nearby Old Town. We really appreciated it.

The room felt stuffy at night, with barely any air circulation. We asked someone to open a window, and he said he’d come up, but he never did. The heater was off, yet my wife and I sweated the whole night. Please make it clear how stuffy the rooms can get if you want a window open. The bathroom is also a safety hazard because it leaks into the rest of the room. The location is perfect for sightseeing in downtown Stockholm, but the room itself was only okay.
