Breakfast tasted good, but there was very little to choose from. The gluten-free items sat right beside the regular bread, so they were contaminated, and I had to use the same toaster as wheat bread. We arrived in the evening to find no staff on duty. Check-in was through an iPad and involved a lot of forms for four people. We had booked two rooms but could only check in to one, and it was difficult to reach anyone for help. The phone number on the counter was out of service. Our room was dusty behind the bed and in the corners, and the shower water was boiling hot with no way to make it cooler.

There’s no support from the hotel after 8 pm. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Getting checked in was really hard, though the person who eventually helped us was kind. The room, though, was so dirty. Travelling with a toddler, it felt disgusting to stay in it. The hotel may not cost much, but I still expect it to be clean.

The rooms are very modest and breakfast is basic. That would be fine if you just need somewhere to sleep. I never got the information email, so I tried calling and emailing ahead to get the details. There was no real customer service, and we ended up stuck outside the locked door at 2 am. If you're going to Umeå, I'd avoid this place at any cost.

After a long day of travel, I couldn't even get into the hotel despite having a reservation. My train arrived at 6:30 p.m., and I walked a kilometre to find a note on the door saying they closed at 4 p.m. It said reservation holders should have received an email with a verification code, but nothing had arrived for me. I called the number on the note several times and got no answer. I had to walk a kilometre back into town to find another hotel for the night. Awful experience.
