The pool’s beautiful outlook and the outstanding breakfast were two of the moments that really showed me what Andaz Singapore does well. At first I was a little underwhelmed because there’s no grand reception or immediate display of luxury, but over time I appreciated how it comes through in the comfort, care and attention to detail. I loved the room’s light controls, the curtains that open and close at the touch of a button, and the privacy screen on the large window. The views were impressive, and the pool was a highlight. The complimentary minibar and daytime lobby snacks also made me feel well looked after. We ate at several of the hotel’s restaurants and were consistently happy with them. The breakfast was outstanding too. The room design itself wasn’t my favorite and felt like the weaker part of the stay, but the comfort and thoughtful touches more than made up for it. I’d happily stay at Andaz Singapore again.

The room card is now a nice souvenir, and the hotel surprised us with a complimentary Mid-Autumn mooncake gift box. We loved the flavors. We also hoped to win the recent "Be More Foodie. Be More Fulfilled." social media contest, so it was a pity we weren’t selected, but it hasn’t changed how much we like the property. Next time, we hope to try other restaurants, like 5 ON 25. My girlfriend and I stayed at Andaz Singapore on the day of Singapore Grand Prix 2025, using a Category 1-7 Free Night Award. As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I was impressed that the front desk team arranged a corner room with a fantastic track view. We didn’t get a suite upgrade, but the room was incredibly spacious, and we watched a spectacular F1 race right from the window. We’ve always been big fans of 665°F for its consistently top-notch steak. The special F1 race day set menu was stunning as usual. I also appreciate the hotel’s sustainability effort: instead of standard single-use plastic bottles, the room had a filtered drinking water tap and two special reusable pitchers. Looking forward to seeing Andaz Singapore again.

The most memorable part of The Magic Table at Andaz Singapore was how the storytelling and food worked together. The theatrical touches lifted the meal without taking over, so both the artistry and the cuisine had room to shine. It’s a distinctive, enchanting experience, well suited to a special occasion or anyone wanting something beyond traditional fine dining. Refined, engaging and memorable. The table itself became part of the story through subtle projections and carefully timed moments. We were invited to make simple gestures to “unlock” each course, which added a little wonder without overwhelming things. Each dish followed the unfolding narrative and was carefully presented, with balanced flavors. The Royal Tartare was delicate yellowfin tuna with avocado, ginger and kaffir lime. The Magicians’ Circle paired 18-hour slow-cooked Black Angus short rib with seared king scallops, parsnip purée and gremolata. To finish, The Final Illusion brought together Jivara chocolate, Alphonso mango, golden passion fruit and hazelnut feuilletine in a playful but elegant dessert.

The hotel was hard to navigate, and staff didn’t explain the things guests needed to know. For the price, it was surprisingly disappointing that there’s no steam room or sauna. Breakfast and dining were expensive, and dinner wasn’t good value. The waiting staff were mostly disinterested, much like the reception team. The front desk experience was unpleasant for check-in, check-out and everyday questions. The staff had no manners, worse than a fast food chain. We thought our experience at Andaz Vienna, Austria was a one-off, but in our experience, reception staff across the Andaz chain have been like this. The room was uncomfortable too, either boiling hot or blasting freezing air-con. Andaz lets Singapore down and isn’t worth the price. I don’t recommend Andaz hotels.

The pool was small, but it wasn’t crowded. It was clean, with plenty of towels and infused water for hydration. Breakfast was decent and had a range of choices. The Teh Tahrik (pulled tea) was especially delicious. I’ve had the pleasure of staying here twice recently and am struggling to understand some of the lower reviews. The staff were prompt and professional, and the rooms were as shown, with great views, lovely facilities, and the necessary toiletries. They felt luxurious and hygienic. Duo Galleria, right next to the hotel, has lots of food options, and Bugis MRT is accessible through B3 of the hotel. Highly recommended.
