Atlantis Pods @ Bugis

For the price, the amenities were nice, and I got a good night's sleep. I stayed for two nights. The rooms were quite small, and the top bunks were REALLY hard to climb into. I liked the hot water, electronic doors, and safe. I'm a heavy sleeper, so the doors didn't bother me. Breakfast was decent too. It wasn't mind-blowing, but I think they did a great job.

The location is really strategic for finding food, and it's near the Metro Station. There's a free coffee machine available 24 hours. I liked the lobby and living room interiors, the breakfast was good, the staff were nice, and the bathroom was clean.

The location was very good, just a few steps from the MRT, a bus stop, Bugis Junction, and lots of restaurants. I stayed in an 8-bed female dorm. The bed and room were quite small, and other people's luggage was all over the place, making it hard to get from my bed to the door. I'm only 1.7m tall, but the bed was still too small for me to stretch my legs out while sleeping. The staff were average. I didn't interact with them much and only saw some Indian guys. I didn't like male staff coming into the women's room to show newcomers their beds. I think the instructions could all be given at reception, and male staff should stop at the doorway. Cleanliness was average too. They didn't clean carefully enough, and there were still small bits of stuff on my bed from the previous guest.

The location was the only positive for me. The desk area outside the dorm, where the WiFi was, was reasonable, but staff were often absent or unreachable. It was extremely overpriced on some websites, with a difference of over $12 per night, so definitely compare a few sites. The floors were extremely dirty, and the tops of the toilets had a thick layer of dust. They clearly hadn't been cleaned properly for a very long time. The dorm was incredibly tiny and claustrophobic, with barely enough space to move down the aisle or turn around. This was the worst hostel I stayed at in Singapore and one of the most uncomfortable stays I've had anywhere. I'm amazed it has a 4.1 star rating here, and I would never stay again, not even for free. There are much better hostels in Singapore. Don't book this one unless you don't mind poor hygiene and extreme crampedness and absolutely need this location.
