Capsules @ The Little Red Dot

Believe the reviews, this place is as bad as many people say. I've stayed in a few pod hotels, and this is by far the worst. It's filthy and cramped, loud at night without any white noise, and has a lot of unpleasant long-term customers. The bed smelled like wet, dirty socks. The pod lock didn't work at all and staff didn't care. There's no power inside the pod for charging, and the owner is lazy. The bathrooms are filthy. Stay somewhere else, anywhere else, or stay home. Just don't stay here.

The staff were really friendly, and it was easy to meet other travelers here. Rooms are well soundproofed, so people hanging out late in the common area didn't keep me awake. The rooms were nice enough, showers were hot, and the price and location were good. I'd recommend it.

I liked having my own pod. It felt roomy enough and was comfortable, though it did remind me a bit of a morgue. The lobby is creative and relaxing, but it's open-air, so don't expect a grand hotel entrance with a chandelier. Free breakfast was a nice money saver, even if it was just toast and jam sandwiches. The Downtown line is close, too, so it's easy to head into D town.

The biggest concern was the lockers: any of the RFID bracelets could open any locker in the room. That means one of the other six people could get into mine, and new arrivals might even open it by mistake while looking for an empty one. That's a serious security problem. We were also told halfway through our three-night stay that we'd have to move to another building because nobody else was staying in our dorm. It was pouring, and having to pack everything up was a real hassle. We thought they might have wanted to save on the AC. I paid for air conditioning but found it switched off and the room hot several times. The facilities themselves were good, and the capsule setup was pretty cool. Breakfast was included, though it was only powdered coffee, white bread, and jam.
