For the price, this place was better than most hostels I’ve stayed in. It was mostly quiet and relaxed, and I had some nice conversations with other guests. People traveling in Singapore seem different from the ones I’ve met in other countries. I’m surprised when people complain about hostel room sizes. What are they expecting, the whole room to themselves? Breakfast also wasn’t as good as some older reviews made it sound. Maybe it’s changed.

The beds were comfortable and clean, and the whole area had a pleasant fragrance. It’s one of the best places in Singapore for travellers if you want a comfortable, clean stay. The washrooms were immensely clean too. They don’t allow shoes or slippers past reception, which is one major reason it stays so clean, and even the owner makes sure of it. Breakfast was good, though pure vegetarians might only find bread with butter or jam.

It’s quiet at night, so this may not suit you if you want a bustling hostel. I’d happily come back on my next visit, though. The staff are friendly and helpful, with lots of city suggestions, and the counter offers a lot of services. Just be aware it closes after 7pm. The dorm bed was comfortable, with two big storage spaces per bed. Bring a lock or buy one at the counter if you want to secure them. The surroundings are very clean, and they’re cleaned carefully every day.

My bed, pillow, and blankets were good quality and clean, and a towel was provided. The place is very clean and well maintained. There are two lockers per person, but they don’t come with locks. You can bring one or buy it at reception. The toilet, shower, and wash basin are in separate places, so you don’t have to wait for turns. There’s no curtain for privacy at the beds, and the pub next door was noisy until late after midnight. Light sleepers should bring earplugs or wear headphones. Still, it’s a good place at a very reasonable price, with good quality sleep.
