We picked Haising Hotel because it was cheap, so we weren't expecting luxury, but the stay was unbelievably disappointing. The whole building is run down, inside and out, and our room was so tiny that moving around was almost impossible. Street noise was unbearable all night, and the old windows wouldn't close properly or block the sound. The bathroom was barely usable. Two people could hardly fit, and the door wouldn't close properly. Still, we might have put up with all that if we hadn't found cockroaches in the room the next day. Reception gave us a different room after we reported it, but there was another cockroach as soon as we walked in. Absolutely unacceptable. When we asked for a refund, they said they would charge us for two full nights and return only what was left. After everything, that was shocking. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The cleanliness was terrible, the building was in awful shape, and the customer service disappointed just as much. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was enough for a solo traveller, with good facilities. Easy to get to, and close to famous places. Nothing fancy.

The surprising thing about this place is that not a single room has a lock. There isn't a lift either, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs yourself. My first room smelled bad, and the second one I was offered did too. The third was finally okay.

The uncle was nice, but the check-out time was a bad experience. The app showed we could stay until before 11am, while he said we had to leave before 10am. The hotel is a bit far from MRT stations, so take a bus that stops nearby. The room was really small for two people, with barely enough space to move around. The bathroom wasn't clean, and I could see webs. There's no free toothbrush, you can hear all the outside noise, and the AC smelled unclean even though it cooled well. There are no windows.

For a two-star hotel, this place in Little India exceeded my expectations. It was easy to get around even on my first visit to Singapore, with the Metro station just steps away. The hotel is basic but had what I needed as a traveller. My single bedroom was spacious by Asian standards, and there was a large kitchen with a washing machine. Tea and coffee were available during the day, and there was a luggage scale by reception. I couldn't ask for more. The only drawback was the lack of a lift, but I only had a small bag, so that was fine.
