Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore

The staff made us feel welcome, and we got a voucher for the lobby café. We used it to try coffee and kaya toast, a local breakfast must-have. There was free ice cream in the afternoon too, a nice treat in Singapore’s humidity. The mini bar was included, and the amenities were well stocked. At the time I wrote this, combs and toothbrushes were still being provided and replenished daily, which you don’t see as often now. The rain shower was fantastic and heated up quickly. Cleanliness was excellent, and the room was well maintained with no settled dust on the furniture. The room is 18 sqm, so it might feel small to some, but the minimal design kept it from feeling cramped. Check-in was quick and easy after a long day, and the layout was well thought out. A couple of things could be better. The lighting felt dim, and doing makeup with the curtains closed was difficult. Plugs are conveniently placed on both sides of the bed, but the extended padded headboard gets in the way of some travel adapters, especially larger ones and ones with downward-facing USB ports. It’s also a very convenient spot, about a five-minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT. We had a pleasant stay at Citadines City Connect Singapore and would recommend it for city-centre comfort, cleanliness and thoughtful extras at a reasonable price.

I really appreciated the kind service and can’t wait to see the team again. Miss. Li Xin and Mr. Ilham were excellent, helping from check-in through checkout and arranging taxi payment both times to make things easier. Two other people also went above and beyond. The doorman was one, and the other was, I think, the receptionist supervisor. One afternoon I was waiting at the cafe in front of the restaurant for lunch, but didn’t know how to order. She came over and asked if I wanted lunch. I said yes, that was the plan, and the help I got from her was the best service I’ve received so far. Breakfast on the rooftop in the morning was amazing, and the bar manager made the process smooth. Lunch was smooth as well. The counter manager was kind, asked what I preferred, and explained the menu and its ingredients.

The location worked well for us, within walking distance of both Fort Canning Station and Dhoby Ghaut. We got good service, including early check-in at 12pm and the option to leave our luggage for later collection after checkout. There’s free ice cream from 3-6pm too. The place is modern and has good AC. Our room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was a bit small, although the shower box itself was large. A very nice stay.

The Infinity pool was superb, and I loved the complimentary snacks, drinks and ice cream. The staff were lovely and generous with information. Dhoby Ghaut MRT is very close, making it about 15 minutes to everywhere a tourist wants to go. By North American standards the rooms are tiny, with very little storage, but they offered to keep our luggage so we didn’t have to cram the suitcases into the room.
