Dash Living Rochor Hotel

The room was tiny and looked nothing like the photos on Agoda. The listing is misleading. There were visible stains on the carpet, and it didn’t seem properly cleaned after the previous guests. They provided glasses and a pitcher but no drinking water. Housekeeping never came, even with the housekeeping button on. I had to message staff each time for basics like toiletries or fresh towels, and there was no guarantee I’d get them. They also charge extra for housekeeping, which is unacceptable. The air conditioning barely cooled the room. On the first day there was a strange noise; I reported it, was told to wait, and never heard back. It was never fixed. The service and cleanliness were poor, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There are restaurants and coffee shops nearby, and Little India MRT is within walking distance. The hotel is cozy and small, but technologically sound. There’s no physical front desk, though staff are available virtually and easy to talk to about concerns or needs. They clean rooms weekly, not every day. You need to tell them each day, by video, if you want towels, or they won’t provide any. There’s a dining area where you can refill your water bottle. They also have a washing machine, though I didn’t use it.

The online check-in was easy and smooth, so arriving was hassle-free. Dash Living Rochor was very clean and well maintained, which made the stay comfortable. The location is a big plus: central, with MRT stations and plenty of amenities close by. There’s an Indian restaurant right next door, handy for a quick, satisfying meal.

I’ve stayed here before and will probably come back, since it’s good value given how expensive accommodation in Singapore is. The rooms are good, it’s very close to the MRT, and there are places to eat nearby, including Tekka Centre. The TV is basically decorative, with channels that have nothing to watch. Adding something like Netflix would improve it. They also don’t provide some things you might get elsewhere, such as water and toothpaste. Rooms aren’t cleaned daily either, so you have to ask staff to clean yours.
