There’s a robot that brings small things to your room, such as an extra towel, slippers, coffee or a dental kit. I loved that touch of innovation and sustainability. The staff were also incredibly helpful with my random requests, and I even asked to extend my stay after a few days. I was looking for a quiet CNY break and found this hotel around Rochester. It’s peaceful and cozy, with a gym, pool, workspace, massage chair and snacks for sale. The location is handy too, near Buona Vista MRT, a bus stop, Starbucks and Star Vista mall.

Star Vista centre is a good place to get food and drinks. The MRT is conveniently close, though downtown is around a 30-minute ride away. The rooms are nice but on the small side, and the pool is a good size.

I used to think I only needed somewhere to sleep on holiday, as long as I had some kind of shelter. This trip wore me out, though, with all the travel back and forth between JB and SG. Staying here gave me a chance to recharge, swim and enjoy some fun tech services. When I come back to SG for a marathon, this will definitely be my go-to place.

We got tickets to Miku Expo 2025, so the location worked out perfectly. Star Arts Centre is only 100m away, or about a five-minute walk. This was one of the best hotels we experienced in Singapore. We were upgraded to a Premier room and loved it. Check-in is around 15:00, so plan your arrival accordingly.

There’s no restaurant, but we didn’t mind since there were plenty of places to eat nearby. The bathroom could have had more space. Otherwise, the facilities were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the curtains and shades blocked out about 99% of the light. We stayed two nights and had everything we needed. The gym was well equipped and looks over the pool. There are lots of places in the lobby to sit and work or play games, with games available to use. There’s also a cute giant teddy bear in the hotel that seems to mysteriously change positions now and then.
