CUBE Boutique Capsule Hotel @ Kampong Glam

Four nights here and we loved it. The place was very clean and quieter than we expected, with a great location. Breakfast was simple but did the job: cereal, toast, tea and coffee. We’d absolutely recommend it. Thanks!

The lower deck worked well for me since it was easier to get out when I needed the toilet or anything else. I worried the capsule would be tiny, but there was enough room. The bed was clean and the amenities were complete, including sandals to wear inside instead of shoes or your own sandals. Under the bed, there’s lockable luggage space with a passkey you can set. My capsule had a reading light, locker, mirror, hanger and adjustable table. For my first capsule hotel, even a one-night stay here was a great experience. It’s in a strategic spot, within walking distance of Sultan mosque, souvenir shops and the nearest MRT, Bugis street. The hotel was very clean and service was perfect. A good budget choice for a solo traveler. I’ll come back if I visit Singapore again.

Our room was near the kitchen, so there were bad smells, and the toilets were small. The facilities varied from one bathroom to another, and I wish they kept the same standard in every one. I think an upstairs room might be better. I’d suggest trying another cube in a different location, like Chinatown.

For one night, it’s a decent option with Singapore hotel prices being so high. The location is good, and there are plenty of Turkish restaurants nearby. But this is a capsule hotel with one bed and nothing beyond that, so I wouldn’t suggest staying longer.
