AMOY by Far East Hospitality

The staff were excellent, and the hotel has a very cool setting in a great location. Drop-off and pick-up are around the corner at the Clan Hotel, with a mostly covered, easy route for wheeling luggage over to the AMOY. After check-out, we could also use the Clan hotel shower facilities before our midnight flight. That made a big difference. Right outside the hotel door, the Teh Tarek shop served the best Thai Iced Milk Tea I had during our month-long trip.

What changed my view was how Duty Manager Adham handled my feedback. A couple of hours after I posted it, he contacted me personally to understand the problem and see what he could do. The team took it seriously and responded with real care and urgency. Issues can happen at any hotel, but that level of service recovery isn’t something every hotel offers. Thank you to Adham and the team. Their response left a stronger impression than the original problem, and I genuinely hope to return for another staycation, hopefully in a quieter room. I’d initially posted a negative review because my room was directly opposite a staff service and storage area. Doors kept opening and closing, staff were active nearby, and corridor noise made it hard to rest. I’d booked a quiet weekend staycation to get away from life’s stresses, but they seemed to follow me there. The noise was reduced after the team stepped in, though the next morning I could still hear laundry bags being dragged along the floor and shelves being stocked or moved. Those operational sounds were enough to disrupt the quiet escape I’d hoped for. Still, I think it’s fair to update my review because of the way the team dealt with the situation.

Being able to store our luggage after checking out was already convenient, but what really helped was learning that the hotel has freshen-up facilities for guests. In Singapore’s hot weather, that was a lifesaver. We could go to the airport feeling clean and comfortable instead of tired and sticky. It made a real difference at the end of the trip. We had a wonderful stay, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We’re grateful for the team’s kindness and attention to detail. That level of care really sets the hotel apart. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a real sense of culture and history, and the atmosphere was amazing. I was travelling on my own, and the friendly, polite, super helpful staff made my stay in singapore so enjoyable. I’d definitely come back and bring others.
