The location is great, and I’d rate the rooms around three to four stars, so I settled on four. The staff weren’t especially friendly, and getting a smile was difficult. Breakfast was only one-star quality, especially for $30-35 per person. The croissants were hard and old, the pancakes had no flavor, there was no granola, and the cheese choice was just two poor options. You’d be better off eating breakfast elsewhere or ordering through Grab. We’re unlikely to return.

Food is easy to find on weekdays, with many cuisines within walking distance. Popular local spot Lat Pat Sat is only a 3-5 minute walk away. The hotel’s location right in Tanjong Pagar is definitely five stars, and complimentary shuttle services to several places are a nice extra. There’s no free parking, though, unless guests book through the hotel website. The deluxe room is quite spacious for its category and includes a mini kitchenette. It’s clean and comes with full toiletries, but the room standard is still a little below luxury hotels. There’s no washer in a deluxe room, though rooms with one bedroom or more do have one. The affordable price compared with nearby hotels makes it especially suitable for a longer corporate stay.

We had a really satisfying five-day stay, and the hotel helped make our time in this beautiful country so enjoyable. The staff were consistently kind, polite, and ready to help, and breakfast had both good quality and variety. There was a misunderstanding about some clothes we’d left for washing and ironing, but the manager resolved it right away with courtesy and professionalism. We appreciated that, and would highly recommend the hotel.

The pool was a highlight, and I liked the filtered water tap in the room, the coffee pod machine, and the deep toilet bowl with its washer tap. Those small touches made the stay more comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. I’d gladly return to this lovely hotel, and I’m curious what brand of mattress and sheets it uses.
