Galaxy Pods Capsule Hotel Boat Quay

The location was good, and it was easy to walk to the main attractions. The pods looked like their pictures, but they weren’t as comfortable as they seemed. The sheets were dirty, the thin mattress wasn’t great, and the AC reached the pods unevenly. There were only USB charging plugs inside; other outlets were in public, non-secure areas. Conversations from other guests were amplified inside the pods too. Lockers were available, but only big enough for small carry-ons. There were coin-operated laundry machines. Check-in and checkout were done on a machine, which didn’t work for me, though it worked for my partner. There wasn’t a receptionist available around the clock, and when one wasn’t there, guests couldn’t buy snacks. An overrated stay in Singapore.

The air-conditioning vents looked like they hadn't been cleaned, which made the whole place feel terrible. Getting into the upper capsule was awkward, and the doors hit the wall loudly. Closing one takes both hands, too. The mattress is very soft, so crawling in meant my knees pressed against the hard floor. The bathroom should have separate shower and toilet areas. The key card reader should be near the door instead of making you reach deep inside, and towels should be placed by the entrance so guests don't have to crawl in to get one.

The bathrooms were pretty clean, and our pod was clean and really comfortable. I accidentally bumped into it a couple of times, and the plastic made a lot of noise, so sorry to everyone else trying to sleep. You can hear everything inside. Still, this doesn't deserve a bad review.

This is my go-to place to stay in SG. The price is okay for a private pod you can lock, especially given the location. It's in a busy area but was surprisingly quiet, and there's another location in Chinatown.
