Hotel Grand Pacific

The restaurant looks a little old, but the food tasted good. Street food is within walking distance too, including the must-try Ah Chew Dessert. I spent a day in Singapore in mid-Jan 2026, and this hotel was just right for a long day of exploring, with a comfortable, quiet place to recharge for the next day’s adventures. Thanks from Vietnam!

The hotel’s location is superlative, with a 7-11 and an Indian restaurant next door. Having morning Indian kadak masala chai with adrak and elaichi was a boon. The cleanliness was impeccable, service prompt, and customer care top class. We celebrated a family member’s sixteenth birthday, and the restaurant manager happily arranged space and cutlery and even took a picture. We arrived around 9:30 am and got our room keys by 11 after receiving a reassuring message about our early check-in request. They also accommodated our request for all three rooms on one floor, and upgraded us to premium rooms on the 15th floor with a better city view. Before booking, we’d compared room sizes with other properties and read reviews, so we had a fairly decent idea of the hotel. One of the rooms on the 15th floor had ineffective AC, so for the third and fourth nights we had to move to another room on the 13th floor. Still, the trip was very pleasant. Thanks to all the staff and management for making our first personal trip and stay memorable. I’d highly recommend exploring this four-star property for a serene, peaceful, fantastic stay.

The air con is aimed too much at the desk, so sitting there gets cold. Turn it down and the room won’t cool properly. It’s an old building, with noisy pipes and thin walls, and you can hear everything outside and from the neighbors.

The bathroom has already been renovated, so it’s clean and looks new, but the rest of the hotel feels quite old and the carpet is rough. I’d prefer a shower instead of the bathtub, and a bidet added to the toilet.
