Homix Hotel

We stayed for 12 nights at Homix Hotel and were very satisfied. The issues mentioned in earlier reviews seemed to have been sorted out before we reached Singapore. The elevator worked, the air conditioning was fine, and we had no trouble with the key card. They even leave snacks in the lobby. Everyone was kind, especially Uncle and the staff member who cleaned our room. The sheets and towels made it easy to see how clean everything was. The location was convenient too: a 2-minute bus ride to the MRT, then only a few stops to major tourist spots. A laundry shop, hawker centers, a mall, and a convenience store are all nearby. The one problem for me was the WiFi. There was a connection on every floor, but it was slow. Messages came through, while some websites wouldn't load, which was inconvenient because I work remotely. The main WiFi in the lobby worked as an alternative. We got what we paid for and would absolutely stay again when we're back in Singapore. Thank you to Uncle and the other staff member, whose name I sadly forgot to ask. They were so welcoming it honestly made me emotional.

Everything's convenient, with a bus stop, 7/11, balestier hawker and a mall nearby, and the hospitality was nice. The room is very small and I bumped my head each time, but for the price it's still fine.

The front desk uncle was sweet and apologetic, and I thankfully got a refund from the booking site. But I could only last a few hours here. The photos were very misleading, and the place was disgusting. The moldy, musty hallways and old, poorly kept building were bad enough, then I entered a room full of trash, hours after check-in time. It was clear nobody had cleaned it. A cleaning crew came and left after 30 minutes, but the room was still a mess. The man said the marks couldn't be removed, yet I gently wiped them with toilet paper and the black sludge came off. They offered a deep clean the next day, which seemed unhygienic. The WiFi didn't work either, and nobody replied to my WhatsApp message for help. For a similar price, there are much better options.

The room key took far too long to arrive when I checked in, even though check-in time had already passed. Still, this hotel is very worth staying at, and I'd come back if I had the choice. Please improve the service.
