The Initial Sama Serviced Residences

We’d happily stay here again. It’s a quiet place with lovely gardens, and the pool and gym are excellent. The staff are polite and helpful. Our room was generous in size, with a separate lounge area, bar fridge and microwave. The attached Yara restaurant looks good, though we haven’t tried it yet. Adams food centre, Cluny court and the Botanic gardens are all not far to walk. It would have been handy to have a toaster, tea towels, and more bathroom hooks or rails for towels and swimming costumes. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the tourist areas.

I needed somewhere to bridge the gap between two apartments, and ended up staying at The Initial Sama for 2 1/2 months. It felt like an oasis in busy SG, with a lovely location, beautiful pool and welcoming shared spaces. The apartments are cosy, thoughtfully laid out and beautifully decorated. The whole team was friendly and always ready to help, which made me feel at home. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I’d happily return, whether for a few days or longer, and recommend it.

The kids were happiest at the pool, where they spent hours and didn’t want to leave. We also liked having the residents’ lounge right beside the playground, so they had room to play. Our two-bedroom apartment had everything we needed, including a washer-dryer, stove and fridge, and it felt cosy enough that getting out of bed was a struggle. The peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a wellness retreat, and the warm colours and decor gave the whole place a calm, stylish feel. We had a wonderful family stay and would recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

I found The Initial Sama Serviced Residence a peaceful retreat right in the city, a rare break from the bustle that made it easy to slow down and feel present. Natural textures, soothing colours and thoughtful details give the design a comforting, polished feel. It felt like more than a place to stay, almost a wellness reset. I left feeling refreshed and centered, and am already looking forward to returning. I’m also keen to see the onsen and spa when they open.
