Lion Peak Hotel Hamilton

The room was small but comfortable enough, and the design is nicer than at other hotels nearby. WiFi was okay, and staff were friendly, though I found it inappropriate that they ate at the reception desk. At check-in I got a room I wasn’t satisfied with. They advertise only five rooms with king-size beds, but I paid extra for one. The nearest Bus Station is just 70 meters away.

There are lots of hawker options around the hotel. My room was spacious and well lit, with plenty of power outlets and the basics: bottled water, instant coffee, shampoo, shower gel, and a dental kit. But sounds from the corridor carried in, and the loudest problem was hearing other rooms flush the toilet or use the shower. I’m not sure what was going on, but it was really disturbing. I also saw a little cockroach rolled up in the toilet tissue. Hope they can improve things.

The pool is sooo beautiful, and the room is quite big compared with hotels at the same price. Overall it was okay la, but the AC wasn’t really cold. I found a way to make it colder anyway haha. Please improve the reception staff. I don’t understand why they hired the unfriendly grandma as receptionist. Her attitude made guests uncomfortable. Thanks.

It’s a pleasant, tidy hotel that’s adequate without being fancy. We’d booked the Lion Peak Hotel, but it seems to have been rebranded as the Acqueen, so at first we didn’t recognize it from the street. The aircon was good and the rooftop pool was lovely and quiet. Lavender MRT station is a 5-10 minute walk, with places to eat nearby.
