The front desk helped quickly and professionally when I had a problem with my original room, which was near the road. I'm quite sensitive to noise. Hazel was especially helpful and patient, walking me through the room options and explaining the check-out process clearly. She was friendly and easy to talk to, and could communicate in Chinese, which made things much easier. I really appreciated her help and professionalism. The location is great, with a shopping mall and MRT station nearby, so getting around was convenient. Thanks, Hazel!

We found the staff warm and genuinely helpful, and the room had plenty of space. The location was convenient too, close to Little India, a shopping mall, and public transport. But the Booking photos looked much better than the place in person. The corridors felt shabby, two bathrooms we saw had mold, the towels were worn, and the room had just one bedside table and no hand towel. There was a loud noise coming from inside the air conditioner even when it was switched off, and the cleaning could have been better. It was an okay stay, but it didn't feel close to a four-star hotel.

The kitchenette and location were useful, but I wouldn't count on the sofa bed being comfortable if you're booking for three adults. It had very little padding, and you could feel the frame when sitting. As a bed, a hard bar ran across the middle. We asked on the first night for another sheet or blanket to cushion it and were told none were available. After following up the next morning, staff did bring an extra blanket and towels, which helped somewhat. The response felt reactive, though, and housekeeping only comes once every three days. Even for fresh towels, we had to follow up or get them ourselves. We stayed in a suite, but the service and comfort fell short of what we expected from a full-service hotel. It operates more like a serviced apartment with limited support. The place has potential, but it's worth weighing that against your priorities before booking.

Hazel Teh at reception was especially lovely and helpful. We had a great time staying here, with roomy, comfortable rooms and plenty of places to eat nearby to suit different tastes. Farrer Park MRT station is just a short walk away. There was good shower pressure, plus a fridge and kettle in the room. The shared kitchen was handy for simple cooking. We'd definitely pick Owen House again next time we're in Singapore.
