Snooze Inn Dickson Road - Hostel

The room still reeked of smoke after housekeeping cleaned it, and staff kept refusing our refund request. We had booked a non-smoking room through a third-party platform, but it smelled strongly of smoke as soon as we opened the door. When we reported it, staff were dismissive and kept shifting blame. We asked again for a refund, a room change, or to check out. Only after we insisted many times did they send someone to clean, with no improvement. They said the hotel was fully booked when we asked to move or leave, but told the platform we had refused a room change. That was dishonest and misleading. Our refund requests had repeatedly been rejected, yet they twisted the facts to the platform. The hotel showed no sincerity, took no responsibility, acted unprofessionally, and lacked basic honesty. It was a terrible stay, and we’ll never return or recommend it. If zero stars were possible, we’d give zero. This one star is already more than they deserve.

There’s a lot of halal food around, and it’s easy to get places from here thanks to the nearby MRT and bus stops. If you need a cheap stay close to Rochor, Little India, or Bugis Street, this place is worth considering.

We lasted one day of the five we’d booked. The room was tiny, there wasn’t a window, and the washroom was cramped with no bidet. This was easily the worst booking I’ve made. We didn’t get a refund, which is fine, but I won’t return.

There’s plenty to eat nearby, including halal restaurants, and a mosque in the area. Two MRT stations are close, so getting around by train is easy, and Mustafa center is about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel was calm and very clean, with the facilities you’d expect from a three-star place in the room. The downside is that the rooms feel tight to move around in. Also, the toilet has no water spray tap, which I think should be added, especially with many Indian and Bangladeshi people staying around here.
