Potato Boutique Hostel

I was able to manage the small luggage area, and the bedroom itself was acceptable. The bed was clean and there were clothes hangers. The shoe storage, though, smelled so bad that I didn't feel comfortable leaving my own shoes there. The bathroom and shower were the part I couldn't put up with. The bidet hose was the one good thing. The facilities were old, including the faucets, and there wasn't enough cleanliness. Strong odors lingered, a mix of sewer smells and food or spice smells. Even after showering, I didn't feel fresh enough to start the day properly. I left the last two nights and moved to another hotel so the rest of my trip wouldn't get worse. I know you can't expect luxury at this price, but I'm sure there are better hostels for the money.

The location is handy for Little India's main area and the metro, and the sheets were clean. But the bathroom and other amenities were dirty, and it was extremely loud, with no respect for people trying to sleep. I couldn't tell who was staff and who was staying long-term. I wouldn't stay here again and would strongly advise against it.

I booked the wrong night by accident and messaged them a minute later to ask for a refund or a date change. They took two hours to answer, then said neither was possible. There was no one at the property to help, so I had to contact them on WhatsApp. The customer service was very poor, and I'm really dissatisfied.

For a longer stay in Singapore, this is the most affordable hostel I've come across here. We had a really good time at potato hostel and felt at home. The staff were kind, especially the lady, who was so nice to us.
