A Hotel Bugis

I found this hotel through a Rednote post that described it as small, clean, and staffed by friendly people. My experience was the opposite. On a rainy day, I parked by the road and went inside to ask about parking, since it was my first stay. The lobby staff member said there was no parking and suggested I might have booked the wrong hotel. When I asked where the nearest parking was, she just said “next street,” without giving clear directions or helping further. I asked my wife to take our sleeping 18-month-old son into the lobby to check in while I looked for parking. It took me 30 minutes to find a spot. When I got back, my wife was still sitting there with our sleeping child. She said self check-in was required, and although two staff members were present, neither offered help. When I asked about it, the staff member seemed annoyed and said I could change hotels if I wasn’t happy. It was raining and my toddler was asleep, so I tried to calm down and figure out the unclear self check-in myself. The room was disappointing too. The water boiler was dusty and had particles of some kind inside. The toilet smelled unpleasant and had lots of bugs, likely because of poor ventilation. There was hair around the pillow, and the window side beside the bed was dusty. It was late and changing hotels wasn’t practical, so we cleaned what we could and stayed one night, then left as early as we could the next morning. A very disappointing stay, far from the advertisement. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
